My dream is to become a Professional photographer and I need to buy me a camera..What camera would you suggest to me if i wanted to take portrait photos ( i also need a cheap camera that works fantastic )

Answer
I have the Nikon D40 DSLR Camera. I like this camera and have NEVER had a problem with it. Nikon lens are superior to Canon. You should also consider a 4GB SDHC memory card to go with the camera.

You need to get the Nikon D40 DSLR Camera when its on special/package deal. The package deal includes the 55mm-200mm lens in addition to the standard 18mm-55mm lens as well as free instructional DVD'(s) and free camera bag.

Look at any camera and.or electronic stores where you live. Try BestBuy too.

Nikon D40 with 18mm-55mm lens: $500 with $50 instant coupon (coupon applied in store) + $100 for 55mm-200mm lens = total (about) $550 + tax

55mm-200mm lens normally costs $200.

You should be sure to check (before walking out of the store) that all the cables and accessories including battery, battery charger (and battery charger AC power cable), USB cable, 55mm-200mm lens (if you buy the special), Nikon camera software & manual booklet are included when you buy it. I also recommend that you also buy two 52mm UV Protection Filters (1 for each lens).

Enjoy

PS: I'm not sure if the camera is still available in stores or just online.

What are some good quality point and shoot cameras?

.

I'm looking to buy a point and shoot that takes very good quality photos but doesn't have any of those extra features and stuff on them that jacks up the prices. For example, I don't care much for wi-fi connectivity on my camera. I simply want something that will take good quality photos for a good price.

Answer
Cameras are more readily available and varied than ever before. Standard digital cameras, professional DSLR cameras and children's digital cameras â the available options fit many needs and uses. For beginners less concerned with manual controls and more interested in ease of use, point and shoot cameras fit a wide range of needs without forcing you to prepare for every shot.
The best point and shoot digital cameras are small and ready to use. Most of them come with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, so you'll never have to deal with changing batteries. Today's best fast-draw digital cameras combine high-quality pictures with HD video recording. What sets point and shoot cameras apart from other compact digital cameras is their ability to teach you more advanced techniques. With a wide range of features and capabilities crammed into its tiny package, a point and shoot camera offers great all-around usage for anyone.
We compiled the best of the best point and shoot cameras. Many of their differences are subtle, but we were able to find the top-performing cameras. To get a better idea of what to look for or fun projects you can tackle with your camera, I am impressed with all of the cameras that I reviewed, but three stand above the rest: Fujifilm FinePix F800EXR, Samsung MV900F and Canon PowerShot SX260 HS.
