Best Digital Camera in the $300-$350 range?

guysors

Hi,
I just dropped and brokeFuji Finepix 3800. It was a good camera, just too bulky. What recommendations do you have for a smaller camera with similar specs?

The Finepix had 6x optical zoom with 3.2 MP resolution

Answer
This is one of the best and may suit you best:

Which camera should I buy?

I need a camera with a macro mode and if possible panorama mode, of over 12 megapixels for under £150 - can you think of any cameras like this, I could get?
:)

Answer
Almost all P&S (compact) cameras have a macro mode. Many of the new cameras have the panorama mode. I'd suggest the IXUS 95 IS because it has an optical viewfinder, essential if you take pix outside in the daylight.

Panorama can be done with s/w on your computer. Many s/w packages allow you to stitch multiple pix together. My wife's Kodak allows you to stitch them in the camera, and I've used it once. Was curious to see how well it worked. It took a couple tries but then it worked well. Probably will never use it again. It's a Kodak EasyShare M380 which has been replaced with the M381 if you're interested.
