I want to make pictures that are a little blurry and have a load of color in it . Like this : http://quotepaty.com/swag-dope-dopeshit.html . A few photos are on that link . Thanks . Oh and and it has to be an iPhone app if that is the app that is being used .

Answer
Since there are so many images on the link and none really look blurry, I cannot comment, except to say this:

If you want blur, shoot and slow shutter speeds and move the camera., To get good colour saturation, make sure that you are exposing the image properly and with good lighting.

To do that you need to control the camera and iPhones do not have the kind of control that a dSLR does.

Pick on example and link it to us again so we know exactly what you are talking about

Advice for an upcoming Youtube Beauty Guru?

Catherine

I'm going to start doing makeup and beauty videos for youtube but I don't know where to start and how to get subscribers.... advice please?:) also, what's a collab?

Answer
I think the best advice you can give anyone is quality. I do not make make up videos (Due to me being male) But quality matters, especially when it comes to make up videos. There are so many low quality videos of people applying make up hastily in a dark room and begging for subscribers. Do not be one of those people.

Popular people have high quality videos, they are popular because they make high quality stuff. Good lighting, good video quality, in a nice setting with a video that is concise and clear.

1st tip:
Backdrop. So many videos I see where people are sitting in the floor in a messy room applying makeup. You can either use a solid wall, purchase a sheet from walmart for 10 bucks, or buy an actual backdrop. White or Black is the most common, whichever you look best against that makes you standout. You are the only thing people should be looking at, and a backdrop ensures that.

2nd tip:
Lighting. Learn to light your videos. No shadows on your face, no shadows on your backdrop. When I use a backdrop I usually use 5 lights. 2 on the backdrop, 2 shooting me from the side, and one directly in front of me. I just use these $6 you can find in the Walmart hardware section. This all is key.

3rd tip:
Video Quality. Get as good as a camera as you can. DSLRs are choice for video quality, but they have a lot of settings that you might not want to fiddle with and they are pricey. If you have an iPhone 4s or up, you'd be surprised at the video quality if you purchase a $5 app called Filmic pro. It will take some time to learn, but a clear professional image is invaluable. Look for cameras in your price range and YouTube search them for quality tests, and see what the best image for the cheapest price is.

4th tip:
Editing. Take out all the fluff, fast forward through the simple stuff, and learn what is called a "jump cut" and add good titles and credits. You will need good software for this. Sony Vegas Platinum is great for the price, I really recommend it.

5th tip:
Voice over. I've seen a lot of make up gurus just apply the make up on camera, and explain the process in a voice over instead of doing it on camera. To me, it makes you seem more professional and doesn't distract the viewer because you aren't stopping to talk every 2 seconds.

SHARING YOURSELF:

Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr (Tumblr especially) will be your friend. Share every video.

Find others who make similar content, and be supportive of them. Lesser known YouTubers should help each other out. Search for other up and coming YouTubers and let them know you exist.

Share on sites that relate to your topic. There are tons of beauty and fashion blogs, find them and advertise on them.

A collab is a channel that multiple people use on different days. Almost like having 2 shows on a network. People do this to have more content, and have someone else promoting your channel gets more viewers.
