I've been looking at some cameras and I want to know what makes the prize difference in the cameras Sony A290 and Sony A500.
Both cameras have similar features, but what makes them have a big gap in their prizes?

What is a good brand and style of a digital camera?

I want one that has a high megapixel, takes a picture quickly after the last, has a big viewing screen, is slim, doesn't kill the batteries really fast, and has good zooming capabilities. I would prefer it to be under $200.

Sony cyber shots seem to always have software probs.

try canon or a nikon(coolpix)...best on the market
