I want to invest my money in a DSLR camera but I don't know which one is good. I don't need a really fancy one that would cost me a fortune. Is there a good canon or Nikon that cost around $500? I just need it take take everyday pictures. I am think of getting a canon rebel t4i but is there a cheaper alternative?
Answer
A Nikon D3100 are GREAT for beginners! A lot of people I know have them and its just as good as the D5100 just a different price, I love it.

HELP! What is the best Nikon DSLR lens that will give me a really CRISP and CLEAR picture results?
Melanie
I have a Nikon D3100 DSLR camera, and the 18-55mm VR lens it came with. I want a new lens that will give me REALLY crisp and clear photo results. I don't want something crazy expensive, but I know lenses are not cheap in general.
Answer
Repeat this 100 times: "It isn't the camera and lens its the photographer." Regardless of how much you spend on a lens you'll see little difference in your images IF you aren't knowledgeable about and skilled in the use of Light, Composition, Exposure and Depth of Field.
Your $196.95 18-55mm kit lens or the $1,399.00 17-55mm f2.8 zoom will give you the same results until you learn what you need to learn.
