best camera highest megapixel image
Q. My friend needs a "photo-taking device" for a trip she is taking. She's going to be photographing, but may be 300 ft away from them. Should she get a camera with high megapixels and less zoom than a camcorder, or a camcorder with high zoom and less megapixels? She is only allowed to take one?

I want a small p/s camera, with high optical zoom and 7mps or higher, which camera should I get?
nicki
please help me find a small camera with high megapixels and high optical zoom. I want one that is fast, numerous frames per second. I would like for it to be at Best Buy or Wal-Mart or somewhere where I won't have to wait on shipping. This may seem like a lot, but if you can help, please do.
Also if you can tell me the pro's/con's of your P/S camera that would be great.
I am wanting to take good pictures of us water skiing, from the boat you can only zoom so much, so I would like better zoom for this reason.
Answer
I think you want to add either a waterproof camera or a small one where you can have a waterproof casing.
For that reason I would recommend a couple of Canon cameras. They have 4X OPTICAL zoom so that should cover your zoom needs.
They also have waterproof cases available from Canon too.
Here are the links to the BEST BUY website.
Canon PowerShot 8.0-Megapixel Digital ELPH Camera

You might want to check out this Olympus model also. Its WATER RESISTANT not WATERPROOF but you no longer need to buy a waterproof case unless you feel you might drop the camera into the water.
