I found this deal does anyone have this camera.? and do you have the remote? is it any good? i am particularly interested in how it works by remote, but cant seem to find the research on it. I was hoping some 1 might have this camera. Thank You..

Personally, I got the kit with the 18-70mm lens and the 75-200 lens. All for about $1,100. I love the camera. Iâve been using SLRâs for over 20 years, and after months of research, I chose the Sony. I have no regrets. I personally would get a larger memory card, nothing less than 2GB...but with that package, it's a deal.

What's the best DSLR package for <$1000?

So far I'm looking at a Canon EOS Rebel T2i (550D) along with the 18-55IS lens, a case, and a 16gb SDHC card for around $1000. I'm open to all brands pretty much, but I really want the most for my money. I figured the HD video and the (huge) megapixel count would be pretty goot pluses, but I am kind of new to DSLRs. Thanks!

These days there are nothing but crazy deals for DSLR's. If you want to go toward the high end of your budget, I would recommend the following:

Canon T2i-$799.95 on Ebay-many seller and many different kit options

Nikon D90-$799.95 Arlington Cameras

The cameras a step above these are much more than a $1000

If you want for a more budget conscience option, then go for

Pentax KX - under $500

Canon T1i - can be found for $599 if you look

Nikon D5000 - around $500

If size is an issue, then go for

Sony Nex 3 -$559 and probably the best video of all of these

Olympus E-PL1- $500 and just really cool looking, its a neat camera

Panasonic GF1-$799 but a really awesome camera. This is future.

These are all excellent cameras that will take great pictures and video. The importance of megapixel is bit overrated. For example, one of Nikon's most powerful camera , the D3s which sell for $5000 , has only 12mp but easily has better image quality than the Canon T2i which has 15. What is more important is learning good photographic skills. After that would be quality lenses. Most photographers would rather have a great lens on a lesser camera than the other way around.

The camera you should chose is the one you feel most comfortable with. So go to the store and try some out.The one that feels best in your hand and is the easiest for you to use( not the simplest) is the one to get.

I have the Nikon D40 DSLR Camera. I like this camera and have NEVER had a problem with it. Nikon lens are superior to Canon. You should also consider a 4GB SDHC memory card to go with the camera.

You need to get the Nikon D40 DSLR Camera when its on special/package deal. The package deal includes the 55mm-200mm lens in addition to the standard 18mm-55mm lens as well as free instructional DVD'(s) and free camera bag.

Look at any camera and.or electronic stores where you live. Try BestBuy too.

Nikon D40 with 18mm-55mm lens: $500 with $50 instant coupon (coupon applied in store) + $100 for 55mm-200mm lens = total (about) $550 + tax

55mm-200mm lens normally costs $200.

You should be sure to check (before walking out of the store) that all the cables and accessories including battery, battery charger (and battery charger AC power cable), USB cable, 55mm-200mm lens (if you buy the special), Nikon camera software & manual booklet are included when you buy it. I also recommend that you also buy two 52mm UV Protection Filters (1 for each lens).
