how big of a memory card do i need in order to take long videos?
Answer
Ideally, the bigger is better, But if your camera is old, it may not be able to take the biggest, such as the 16 gb sd cards...
Most likely your camera when recording at 30 frames per second, at the standard resolution of 320x240 will record between 1 and 1.5 mb/second. So a 500ish mb card will last about 10 minutes..
Get a 2 gb card and that should last about an hour of continous recording. Just remember to compress the video on your computer into mpeg4 because your camera will not compress for you.
