I am considering buying a new camera for my real estate business as well as personal use. It will mostly be used for interior shots so a wide angle lens is essential.
Thanks!

What makes a Digital Camera good?

da_chevyma

Ive herd its not really the Megapixels, how can you notice a good camera before hitting the SLR Stage, so no slr cameras, more of advanced cameras, how can you spot a good one?

do you look for the highest MP? and what Really is MegaPixels aswell?

Answer
A good camera should have a decent number of megapixels, but it isn't the only thing that matters. If you want standard sized photos, and not too large (like poster size) about 5 or 7 MP will be enough. Higher the number of MP, sharper your photos will be.
But don't go by MPs only. Look for features like optical zoom (3X or more is good; ignore any 'digital zoom' features. If you use digital zoom to take photos the resolution will be reduced) different modes, red eye correction, etc. Check out reviews of cameras on the internet. A good camera should have features that will help you take photos in different lighting conditions, in different modes (black and white, macro mode (for close-ups) etc). Also check reviews about battery life of cameras. Some simply eat up batteries.
