highest mp for camera image
Rico
Lets say you have two photos, they are the same photos. one is a 13.1 MP and the other is shot with a 24.6 MP camera. Will the high MP camera offer the best quality? If not, what offers the high quality that makes photos look like glass, HD, the best of the best?
Answer
Yes and no. In today's cameras, the answer is largely no. But the answer is not simple. There are many factors that affect quality. Some have already been mentioned. Not mentioned is that sensor technology has improved in ways that are unrelated to pixel count. An 8-megapixel sensor today (if you can find one) will be much better than the same size from five years ago. As a general rule, the more pixels you have, the less light there is to share between them. This harms low light performance. However, the technology has improved so that today's sensors use the light more efficiently. Another factor is the quality of the in-camera processing before you even see the image. The more expensive cameras have more powerful processors and better software.
So it would be a mistake to purchase a camera solely on a comparison of the megapixels.
I can't leave the topic without mentioning that by far the greatest factor in quality photography is the skill of the person holding the camera. Most people who buy cameras today do not have the skills to take full advantage of the camera's capabilities. Another way of looking at this is that it won't be your camera that will limit the quality of your work. It will be you.

Would i still look as good as i do in a diff camera?10 POINTS?
Omar
I have a 5 MP camera. And look alright, but I'm guessing that I would look worse in a better higher MP camera, I look best in the mirror, better than I did on cam. Also is it bad if I only look good in a well lit area, or just descent?
