where can i find the perfect DSLR camera that is under $200? pwease help me :[?

heather

Answer
Hey, Personally as a photographer, I don't think you will be able to find a DSLR for under $200.
The cheapest DSLR on the market right now is the Nikon D40 or competing Canon XS/1000D, and they are marketing around $500 brand new.
Perhaps if you check websites for used equipment (ebay, etc.) You may be able to find a cheaper body from a non-leading brand.

What are some good cameras under $200?

Q. What are some good cameras (or camera brands) under $200? I really have been wanting to get into photography and now that Christmas is around the corner I am starting to look for some, but I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions for a beginner photographer? Thanks!

Answer
If you're seriously looking into photography, then you probably want to steer away from new cameras that are 200 and under. Entry level camera dSLRs start around 400 and go up. You can find a really nice used 35mm camera for under 200 dollars though (try Minolta, they have good film cameras)

Other than that, if you decide to put in serious money for a good camera, I would suggest to stick with Canon or Nikon. You might want to look into those brands and prices. Visit a camera store or a best buy and talk to someone who knows a lot about cameras. I'm looking into photography myself and this is what I have gotten out of a lot of research. Hope I saved you some time and good luck!

Closest thing to a dslr camera under 200?

(:

I really want to get into photography! I'm young so my parents don't think i'm responsible enough for a 800 dollar camrea. Whats a good camera with almost as good quality as a dslr camera under 200?

Answer
The closest (or in my mind even better) than a dslr, is a film slr.
Because in my mind, a film slr focuses the better photographer, rather than the fancy equipment (most of which i never ever use.

camera suggestion includes any film slr you can find (as long as it is in good working order). There are lots of places to find used film slrs.
a quick search on B&H used camera site features a number of excellent cameras you can choose from.

I might suggest canon (or a nikon equivanent but i'm not as familar with the slr nikon range)

So you can use modern lenses too. Which will also be compatable with a modern digital slr (or dslr). And you spend less than 80 dollars; leaving you plenty of money to slowly budget for film and processing.

Film can be easily scanned in store (for an extra dollar typically) so you can get suitable digital files too. If you wish to get negatives scanned at a speciality processor, you can get scans that are the equivalent of 60 megapixles or more.

Best cameras for under £200?

Hi I would like to get a camera where you can change lenses such as a fisheye/wide angle maybe attach a microphone aswell and that's in hd
What would you suggest and where to look not just eBay
Also should I look at camcorders ir dslrs or bridge cameras

Answer
Many still cameras have video functions, and especially the DSLRs with video produce decent enough results. However, if video is important to you, you are MUCH better off with a camcorder.
At this point in time, they still do a much better job (and are much more comfortable) at video and audio recording than still cameras can.

If you want to "change lenses", you need a DSLR, but you will not find one with your very VERY low budget.

You need to decide your priorities first........ low cost or quality and features?

What is a good camera for a beginner in photography?

Hanny

I'm 14, and I want to start getting in to photography, and I would like a good camera to start with. I want something that will last me at least a year. I wouldn't mind the complexity of it, as I am willing to learn. Would you be able to recommend a good camera under £200.
I meant a while not a year.

Answer
Honestly a manual film camera (like Nikon FM10, which is still being made). You set everything yourself (speed shuttle, apature, focus, etc.) and you think about each shot before you take it. That was how I learned about photography (Nikon F2AS and later, FM2).

But it costs quite a bit to do film these days, so a DSLR would be a good choice (as you can change the settings yourself even if you don't put it in M mode). Since your budget does not allow that, a DSLR like might do. My brother uses Canon Powershot S5 and he really likes it. It is a bit over what you are willing to pay though.

Does anyone else has a good suggestion of a camera that you have used that might be good for someone who starts out in photography?

Stupid

Aside from the difference in quality?
And can anyone recommend the best camera under £200 for taking high quality photos?
Thanks!

Answer
sometimes there is no difference (after all, some SLR cameras are digital).

There is no "best". There are many good cameras. For your price range, you might have to get a used dSLR.

Where can I get a used professional grade camera?

persona_es

Where can I get a used professional grade camera in good condition for under $200? With the "tube thing" on front to zoom with? Without video capability.

Answer
you will be able to find an older film camera used from ebay or craigslist for around $200, but you will not be able to find anything digital in your price range....on a side note, if you are calling a lens a "tube thing" I'm not sure you're quite ready to step into a world of SLRs and DSLRs...
