My First DSLR Camera?

Pretty

I want to get into photography & I'm thinking about getting the Canon T3 as my first DSLR am i making a good choice?. Is this a good camera for some one who want get into photography

Answer
It is an entry-level dSLR meaning it has been crippled in one way or another to cut cost down to make it affordable enough to tease newbies (who don't know what they're getting into), poor pros (who don't have the budget to get a better camera), and photography students (who don't want to spend a lot just in case they discover they don't have it to become the next top photographer on earth).

What type of dslr camera should I buy, Its my first?

David Home

Preferably a Canon.
And pretty cheap.

Answer
All dSLR's are good, even the non-Canon ones. They are all basically the same anyway. The cheapest starts at around $500. Make sure you get one that comes with a lens.

safest and cheapest to buy a dslr camera online in 2012?

Cotton Can

I'm looking for a dslr camera. a good one for a beginner in photography. my budget is $250 or less. I know I probably won't find a dslr with that amount of money but I'm hoping I will (It doesn't matter if it is used.) . I'm looking for suggestions for where to buy one or what camera to buy. I don't want to buy if off of some stupid scam website.

Answer
for $250, you can forget about it

pretty much any DSLR in that price range is really old or broken

I suggest you save up some and look at the Nikon D3100 and Canon Rebel T3

Do we know If there will be new Canon DSLR cameras in 2012?

JaneA0202

I didn´t find this information, so I´m curious whether they will release some new DSLR cameras next year...especialy If there will be 650D or 700D (after 600D) or 70D (after 60D) ? thanks
because I want to buy camera(I´m thinking about 60D) but I can wait....

Answer
Yes, but the 000D and 00D cameras are already out and it is usually two years before a new version is introduced.

The new Canon 1DX replaces the four year old 1Ds, Mark III, so you can see the updates of different cameras varies.

Here is a link you may want to monitor from time to time to keep up to date on the current Canon system upgrades, both cameras and lenses

dslr camera 2012
on The upcoming high MP DSLR camera from Canon will probably be called ...
dslr camera 2012 image
Q. I am trying to decide which camera to buy myself for X-Mas. I have about $2000-$2500 to spend. I plan on using it to take portraits of people for a book I am working on and making short films in the near future. I was thinking the Canon 7D. I'm a beginner and just starting out as a photographer/filmmaker. Any advice and opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer
Right now, the Canon 5D, Mark II is the most cost effective dSLR used to shoot video.

You do need to budget for the rest of the accessories you will need to convert a still camera which happens to have a video feature into a viable video camera.

What a $5,300 camera (plus lenses and accessories) can do when shooting from a script.

NOTE: Whether you are a beginner or a pro, ALL cameras work the same. There are NO training wheels on cameras unless you want to use them in the program mode like you would when using a P&S camera

If you can wait just a little longer, the New Nikon D800 and Canon 5D, Mark III will be available in the first quarter of 2012

what is the best time of year to purchase an DSLR camera?

samantha

id love to know when is the best time to purchase a DSLR. im looking into investing in a great camera with outstanding picture quality and technology. Where can all the good deals be found? what time of year is perfect for this sort of purchase?

Answer
The best time would be when the camera maker of your choice announces newer models. Then, if you don't have to have the "latest & greatest", you can get great mark-down deals on the previous models. It's like buying cars. When the 2012 models are arriving, it's a great time to buy a new 2011.
